Product Description

Extraordinary Walter P. Reuther Single Signed Baseball.  Reuther was an organized labor and civil rights activist who built the United Automobile Workers (UAW) into one of the most progressive labor unions in American history.  Reuther passed away in 1970 and his signature is highly desirable in any variation.  This is the only Reuther single signed ball that is known to exist.  The black fountain pen signature rates approximately 8/10 in strength and is inscribed “Good Luck and Best Wishes, Walter P. Reuther”.  The ball is in excellent condition with minor toning.  The year “1954” is neatly written on the north panel in period ink.  Overall this is a highly desirable, one of a kind single signed ball from one of the most important activists of our time.  Includes a Full Letter of Authenticity from JSA (#BB11980).
