1992 Derek Jeter Michigan High School All Star Game Team Signed Baseball with Other Memorabilia from Game. Includes LOAs from PSA/DNA and BAS.
By the time Derek Jeter was a part of the 1992 Michigan High School All-Star Classic, he had recently been selected by the New York Yankees as a first round pick. Nobody could have looked down on Jeter if he had bypassed the game to get ready to realize his Major League dream. Jeter was given special permission by the Yankees to play in the exhibition game held at Tiger Stadium June 18, 1992.
This ball was purchased from one of Derek Jeter's teammates (Todd Galvin) who played on the All Star team alongside Jeter. Todd Galvin had enough foresight to grab this Official League baseball and pass it around to his teammates to sign as a memento. Given his status as a first rounder, Jeter was reserved for the sweet spot while the other players took adjacent side panels. Galvin also included his personal program to the game, team issued wooden plaque (12x16") and his game-worn shirt from the game. In 2021 Heritage Auctions sold a near identical ball for $9,600.00.
