Honus Wagner Single Signed Official National League (Frick) Baseball JSA LOA
Honus Wagner single signed baseballs are among the most coveted collectibles in the entire hobby. Between his illustrious playing career, coaching career, inaugural Hall of Fame induction and having one of the most famed sports cards in the world, his name will forever be recognized as one of the greatest of all time. Single signed baseballs from the Flying Dutchman can fetch into the six figures. In 2001, Heritage Auctions realized a price of $126,000.00 for one that was only a few shades bolder than the presented offering. Presented here is a pleasing mid range example that can be proudly displayed in even the finest collections. It has inherent qualities that are not easy to find in a Wagner single. It is signed on the sweet spot of an Official National League (Frick) baseball. Many Wagner singles are signed on the side panel of non offiicial balls which makes this ball quite desirable. The autograph is signed in black fountain ink and rates approximately 6/10 in strength. There is a "52" added in an unknown hand on the side panel which notates the year this great relic was signed. Overall this is an attractive Honus Wagner single that includes all the bells and whistles that one could hope for without getting into the astronomical price range. Includes a fresh JSA LOA.
