Those with even a passing knowledge of Yankees history are aware that 1951 represents the only season these legendary Yankees shared a dugout. Presented here is one of the finest condition team balls that is known to exist from that historic season! Joltin' Joe assumes his customary position on the sweet spot with a beautiful flowing signature, while Mickey Mantle's supremely desirable rookie signature is placed upon the south panel in stunning condition! There are (26) signatures in total including: Mantle, DiMaggio, Stengel, Berra, Mize, Rizzuto, Raschi, Martin, Houk, Collins, Reynolds, Jensen etc. Mantle's minor league demotion during his unsteady rookie campaign, and DiMaggio's common use of ghost signers, have left many 1951 Yankees team balls lacking authentic signatures of one or both of these pinstriped icons, but here each and every one of the 26 autographs applied to this OAL (Harridge) ball is the genuine article.
